Call for Papers & Presentations
The second annual Basic Income Asia Pacific conference will be held on March 17 (NCCU) and March 18, 2018 (NTU). This year’s theme will be Asia Pacific’s Economic Future.
This conference’s goal is to bring greater attention to vital economic and social issues facing the Asia Pacific, and how policies may be implemented to address these challenges, such as Universal Basic Income. The first Asia Pacific conference was held in 2017 at National Chengchi University, with global scholars visiting Taipei to discuss how to implement UBI in the region.
We encourage lectures based on this theme with relevance to basic income in the Asia Pacific. Topics include but are not limited to: inequality, automation, globalization, demographics, and environmental issues.
Presentations that discuss other aspects of basic income in the Asia Pacific are also welcome.
This year presentations will be welcome in both English and Chinese. Simultaneous translation services will be available at the conference. Please bring a smartphone and earphones.
